Agri inputs
What farmers buy in order to produce.
Seed, nutrient, chemistry and machinery all sell through the same counter, and all four are now chosen before the farmer reaches it. He asks an engine, gets one recommendation with a reason attached, then asks the retailer for it by name. Input companies still publish for the counter rather than for retrieval. The opening sits in that gap.
Where the answer is being lost
The choice is half made before anyone reaches the counter.
A farmer choosing planting material asks “Which paddy variety gives the best yield in low rainfall areas” and gets one variety named, with a reason. He carries that name to the distributor. The same sequence runs for a hiring operator sizing a tractor and a grower deciding what to spray. Input companies write for the retail counter: a packet label, a dealer meet, a price circular. None of it is retrievable. So the season is decided by whichever answer the engine could assemble, and a season lost cannot be reopened.
How we win this
The programme for agri inputs
Evidence from the same district
Adoption here turns on whether the number came from nearby. We take your trial plots, soil testing labs and machine operating logs and publish them as data-assets: yield range by rainfall band, deficiency frequency by block, fuel per hour by implement. Conditions stated, seasons named. An engine can quote a qualified figure. It cannot quote a brochure adjective.
Write to the label
Efficacy, dose and yield are governed by registration and by the label, and everyone else overstates them. We publish inside those limits and treat the limits as the content: approved crop and pest combinations, waiting periods, application conditions, what a variety does not tolerate. Precision reads as competence to a grower and it is the only version an engine can safely repeat.
The season sets the calendar
Questions here arrive in short, repeating windows. Variety choice in the weeks of waiting before sowing, top-dressing at tillering, spray decisions the night damage appears, machinery costing when a subsidy list opens. We build for those windows through blogs and answer-pages, and film in the plot with video so vernacular instruction exists as readable transcript.
Honest about the last mile
Retailers and dealers still take the payment, and no amount of publishing changes that. What changes is which name the farmer arrives with, and whether the retailer's own recommendation gets overridden. On subsidised commodity the honest job is smaller still, and we say so rather than sell a lead volume that will not appear.
The mix that carries it
Content
Answer and comparison pages
Cost, process, eligibility and comparison pages built for direct extraction, not for a reader who scrolls.
Authority
Original data and benchmarks
Proprietary numbers, surveys and benchmarks — the most-cited asset class there is, because nobody else has them.
Content
GEO blogs and authority content
The definitive written answer to the questions your buyers put to an engine, structured so it can be lifted and attributed.
Content
Video and YouTube
Video run as a primary AI source, for the dense, entity-rich transcripts models read and quote.
Foundation
Entity and schema engineering
Structured data and entity definition so engines know exactly what you are, where you operate, and what you are credible in.
Authority
Directories and profile consistency
Every listing, registry and profile saying the same thing, so the entity resolves to one business instead of three.
The constraint we work inside
Two limits are real. Efficacy, yield and dose claims are governed by the product label and its registration, so we write to the label and state the conditions a result depends on. And the retailer or dealer still closes the sale. Content changes which name the farmer arrives with, not who takes the payment.

The pitch is different for each one, because the buyer, the trigger and the rules on what may be published are different for each one. Open the one that is yours.
A farmer who watched last year's crop fail on a late monsoon starts next season's decision on his phone, weeks before he tells the distributor which packet to send.
The question deciding this today
“Which paddy variety gives the best yield in low rainfall areas”
- Who they sell to
- Farmers buying planting material
- Who signs
- The farmer, or the distributor
- What starts it
- Sowing season, variety launch, yield disappointment, climate shift
- Cost of staying invisible
- A season's yield capped by the seed chosen in a hurry
Ask an engine “Which paddy variety gives the best yield in low rainfall areas” and it returns a variety name, usually a public sector release or whichever private hybrid has trial data written up in a form a machine can read. Your breeding programme may hold the better material for that rainfall band. If its district performance exists only in a price list and a packet label, there is nothing of yours to name, and the distributor orders what the answer said.
What we would run
- 01Original data and benchmarks
Your own multi-location trial results, published as a district and rainfall-band table: variety, duration, yield range, sowing window, and the seasons the numbers came from. Not a claim, a dataset with its conditions attached.
An engine answering a variety question reaches for whatever trial work has been written up in a citable form, which today means public sector releases. Your hybrids are tested to the same protocols and published nowhere a machine can read. A table is what puts a private variety in the same sentence as a notified one.
- 02Answer and comparison pages
One page per variety pair, on what a farmer actually weighs: duration against the monsoon window, seed rate per acre, water requirement, grain type and what the miller pays for it.
Variety choice is a comparison made once a season under time pressure. A page built as the comparison is what an engine reaches for when the question is a comparison.
- 03Entity and schema engineering
Each variety defined as an entity: notified name, brand name, parentage, maturity days, agro-climatic zone, resistance profile, all bound to your company. The release name and your name become one record rather than two.
Farmers and distributors search the variety, not the company behind it. Without that binding an answer names the variety and credits nobody, which is where most seed brands sit.
- 04GEO blogs and authority content
Season by season operational writing: choosing a variety after a delayed monsoon, what to plant when the canal release slips, nursery management for the varieties you sell, state by state.
The distributor's order follows the grower's intent, and that intent forms in the weeks of waiting before sowing. It is the only stretch of the year when this gets read.
What we would not recommend
- Reviews and testimonials. Seed is the first thing blamed when a crop underperforms, whatever the weather actually did. An open review channel on a variety collects that blame, keeps it long after the season, and hands it to every future answer about the variety.
- X. Indian agriculture on X is a policy argument: MSP, GM approval, royalty on traits. A seed company posting into it joins the debate about seed rather than the conversation about which variety to sow in a dry block.
What a lead looks like
A distributor in a low rainfall block rings your regional manager having already read the three-season yield table for his zone. He wants allocation and delivery dates for the coming sowing, and he wants them confirmed before the neighbouring territory's order goes in. Or a large grower asks whether you will put a demonstration plot on his own land.
What we measure
- varieties named in engine answers
- district trial pages live pre-season
- distributor enquiries citing published data
- share of variety-choice answers held
What changes
Your field team stops explaining the range. A distributor asks for allocation of a variety by name for a rainfall band he read off your own trial table. A hiring operator walks into a dealership with the model and the implement settled and a subsidy form half filled in. Your agronomy line takes an outbreak call from a grower reading your waiting period back to you. A retailer asks for the nutrient schedule as a counter card, because three farmers have already quoted it at him. In every one of those calls the buyer names the product before you do.
