Answer the ownership-cost question

Almost every buying question in this business is a cost question stretched over time: running cost per month, cost per kilometre, service interval spend, what a set lasts before replacement. Those answers exist inside your warranty data and field reports and nowhere on your website. We write them as answer-pages, with the figures you can stand behind and the conditions attached.

Get the part number out

An engine cannot match a query to a component it cannot see. Part numbers, OE cross-references, fitment tables and applicable models usually sit inside a dealer login or a scanned catalogue. We lift that into structured pages and schema, so a question about a specific model and year returns your part rather than a marketplace listing.

Show the tested figure

Automotive claims are checkable, which is an advantage if you publish and a liability if you exaggerate. Homologated mileage, tested tread life, validated durability hours, warranty terms as written. We publish the figure with its test condition beside it, then reinforce it through trade coverage, because that is what a fleet analyst or a supplier quality engineer looks for before believing it.

Two things bound what we publish here. Mileage, emission and safety figures can only be stated as homologated and tested, never improved for effect. And OEM programme names, part numbers under NDA and pending qualification work stay off the page until your customer clears them.

Your model pages are configurators. Price, variant and feature data loads through scripts, the brochure is a PDF, and the service cost table lives in a dealer system. An engine asked about running cost cannot read any of it, so it answers from owner forums, YouTube ownership reviews and auto portal comparison articles written by people who have never run your car for a year. Those sources become the recommendation. Your launch spend runs alongside the answer, not inside it.

    We fix what the configurator hides: server-rendered variant and price pages, brochure content as HTML rather than PDF, and a crawlable path to every trim. The specification stops being locked inside a JavaScript build.

    Running cost answers are assembled from variant-level data. If the model site will not render, the engine builds its answer from whoever published a plain table.

  2. 02Entity and schema engineering

    Each variant defined as an entity: engine, transmission, fuel type, homologated mileage, service interval, warranty term, on-road price by city. The range stops being a brochure and becomes a dataset that can be compared against a rival.

    The comparison question is always model against model. Structured variant data is what lets an engine put yours inside the comparison rather than leaving it out.

  3. 03Answer and comparison pages

    Ownership cost pages per model: the five-year service schedule with published labour and parts costs, insurance band, fuel or charging cost at stated conditions, resale position. Plus the variant-versus-variant page every buyer builds by hand today.

    You are the only party who knows what your own five-year service schedule costs, and you have never published it. The engine therefore assembles a running cost figure from portal estimates and forum arithmetic, and someone else's guess about your car becomes the reason it is left out of the recommendation.

What we would not recommend

  • Instagram. Your agency roster already runs this well, and it is a brand surface. It does not answer a running cost question, so it earns no citation.
  • Reviews and testimonials. Owner reviews sit with dealers and portals and cannot be steered by you. Engines already read them; testimonials added to a model page change nothing.
  • Reddit. Owner communities discuss your cars constantly and will read brand participation as marketing. We would be an intruder in the thread we want cited.
