Profound vs Peec AI: Price, Features and Who Each Suits
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the practice of getting a brand retrieved, cited and named in AI answers.
TL;DR: Profound vs Peec AI is a choice between a published price and a deeper enterprise platform: Slate reports Peec AI's monthly plans at $95, $245 and $495, while Profound for brands is a free trial, then custom Enterprise pricing. Peec AI fits marketing teams and agencies that want unlimited seats at a lower entry price, while Profound fits enterprise teams that need log-level crawler data, according to HubSpot, which sells a competing answer engine optimization tool. Profound charges agencies per client workspace, so Profound's agency bill grows with every client. Neither Profound nor Peec AI gets fixes and content live on a site by itself, so budget for the work as well as the tracker.
Profound vs Peec AI at a glance: where each tool fits
- AI visibility tracker
- software that runs a fixed set of buyer prompts through AI engines and reports how often a brand appears, in what position and with which sources.
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the practice of getting a brand retrieved, cited and named in AI answers. Profound and Peec AI are both AI visibility trackers, which makes them the measurement layer of that work. Strategi also keeps fuller notes on Profound and Peec AI.
Profound has raised far more capital. ThriveStack's compilation puts Profound's disclosed funding at $155M, with a $1B valuation reached in February 2026, and ThriveStack itself sells a competing tool. Tracxn reports that Peec AI has raised $29.1M in total over 3 rounds, and lists the Berlin company, founded in 2025, with 112 employees as on Sep 30, 2026. Funding does not indicate product fit.
Both tools sit in a crowded market. Tracxn's competitor set for Peec AI includes 75 active companies, 16 of them funded. Peec AI's website says it is trusted by 3500+ brands and agencies, a self-reported figure with no audit behind it.
The rows below are third-party reports, so confirm them in the contract.

Is Profound or Peec AI cheaper for 100 prompts?
Profound has no public brand price to set against 100 prompts, so no like-for-like answer exists. Two October 2026 comparisons, one of them from Slate, describe Profound's pricing as a seven-day trial followed by custom Enterprise pricing. Slate's account gives that trial limited credits and 50 daily prompts. Peec AI has the clearer and lower published entry price, while the gap at Enterprise level is unknown.
What the last public Profound price shows
The only 100-prompt Profound price on record is historic. In August 2026, Ryze reported Profound's self-serve plans at $99 and $399 a month on annual billing, a yearly commitment of $1,188 or $4,788, but the October comparisons no longer list them. On that August pricing, Peec AI Advanced tracked 350 prompts at $495 against 100 on Profound Growth at $399. That works out at about $1.41 a prompt against $3.99.
Reported entry prices have moved around. Discovered Labs listed a Profound Lite plan at $499 a month in August 2026, after listing a $99 Starter plan in July, and Discovered Labs sells a competing managed service.
What Peec AI's headline price leaves out
Billing: Ryze reported in August 2026 that Peec AI Starter cost $95 monthly or $80 a month on annual billing. InstantPress reported brand tiers of 85, 205 and 425 euros a month as of October 2026, so the billing currency changes the invoice.
Models: Recent reports give Peec AI plans three models of your choice. Ryze reported each extra model at $30 to $140 a month depending on tier, at annual rates. A July 2026 Discovered Labs listing instead gave Starter one model and Pro two, so check the allowance before comparing plans.
Projects: Slate reported that Peec AI's standard plans cap projects at one, two or five, with unlimited projects on Enterprise. Multi-client teams should therefore price the separate agency plans.
Countries: Later comparisons give Peec AI Starter one country, Pro and Advanced three, and Enterprise unlimited. An older Peec AI page claimed unlimited countries on every plan, so the newer limits are the safer planning assumption.
Which engines does each track, and can you trust the readings?
Tracxn describes Peec AI as a platform that helps marketing teams monitor visibility across AI search platforms, but it names none of them. Published engine lists therefore come almost entirely from sellers of rival products, and they disagree. Slate, Ryze and HubSpot put Profound at up to nine answer engines on Enterprise. Discovered Labs' July 2026 comparison names 11 AI platforms on the same tier, and the two counts differ by date and by which surfaces each list includes.
Peec AI's coverage depends on the plan. Recent reports give self-serve customers three of six default models and Enterprise customers up to 13, with Perplexity outside the six defaults. For either tool, write the engine list into the contract rather than relying on a marketing page.
How does each tool collect answers?
DerivateX reports that both platforms run prompts daily through live browser sessions, not APIs, although the method for each Peec AI default model has not been independently confirmed. A pro-Profound post, undated, says Profound refreshes hourly and Peec AI daily. No published controlled test shows that either tool is more accurate than the other.
How much does one reading tell you?
One reading tells you very little. A 2026 paper, as summarised by MaxAEO, argues for measuring AI search visibility as a distribution, which is a general caution for any once-daily tracker and not a finding about either tool. ThriveStack reports a January 2026 study of 2,961 prompt runs that put the odds of an identical repeat brand list under 1 in 100, though it does not name the study's author.
A small wording change can flip an answer, so a difference between two dates or two tools may be noise. Strategi treats one reading as weather rather than climate and trusts only the direction over several weeks.
Peec AI or Profound for an agency, and which for an in-house team?
Peec AI is the default choice for most agencies, and Profound earns its cost where a client needs enterprise depth. Canlah AI reports Peec AI agency plans from $245 to $795 a month in credits, while Ryze reported Profound's Agency Growth plan in August 2026 at an unpublished base price plus $399 a month per client workspace. Get Profound's base price in writing. How many clients each Peec AI agency plan holds also needs confirming.
Peec AI adds three agency-friendly details. Unlimited seats mean a growing team costs nothing extra, and a Looker Studio connector pulls data across projects into client-ready dashboards. Peec AI also said in January 2026 that pitch projects were free and sat outside the project quota, and DerivateX later described them as 7-day projects. Profound is reported to offer an Agency Mode, but its contents are not published in detail.
Who should choose Profound?
Security-led buyers: Slate reports that Profound documents SOC 2 Type II compliance for Enterprise, and says buyers should ask Peec AI directly for its current compliance documents. Accounts of Peec AI's SOC 2 status conflict, so rely only on what Peec AI provides in writing.
Teams that need crawler logs: HubSpot describes Profound's Agent Analytics as server-side tracking installed at the CDN or hosting level. Slate reports agent analytics on every Peec AI plan, while Ryze said in August 2026 that it was not a published feature.
Teams with analyst capacity: Discovered Labs suggests Profound suits teams with dedicated analyst resources. A December 2025 AllAboutAI review, as cited by Discovered Labs, scored Profound 3.2/5 and noted a steeper learning curve, though the product has changed since then.
Who should choose Peec AI?
Lean marketing teams: Peec AI's self-serve plans and reported free trial suit teams that want to start without a sales cycle. Discovered Labs positions Peec AI for smaller teams that want quicker setup, and that is an editorial view rather than customer data.
Multi-language tracking on a budget: DerivateX reports language coverage of 115-plus on Peec AI and over 40 on Profound, with Profound's multi-language access gated to Enterprise. Indian-language support is unconfirmed for both tools, so test Hindi prompts before you commit.
Teams building their own reports: Peec AI promotes an API and MCP connections to tools such as Claude and Cursor, but reports disagree on which plan includes the API. Profound is also reported to offer an MCP integration, so MCP alone should not decide the purchase.
What does neither tool do for you?
Neither tool takes responsibility for getting the work live. Profound and Peec AI are trackers first, and both have added an action layer without removing the need for a team. Ryze reported that Profound's agent usage on self-serve plans is limited by monthly credits and that publishing remains the customer's job, although HubSpot says the agents connect to enterprise CMS platforms. Peec AI is reported to offer page optimization tooling and an agent that suggests edits and drafts briefs for approval.
Discovered Labs, which sells execution services, argues that both tools still depend on teams to carry out the work. One G2 reviewer quoted by Discovered Labs said Profound still needed other tools for keyword research, audits and content, though that undated review may predate Profound's newer workflow features. Strategi sells the same kind of execution, so weigh the argument by the list below rather than by any vendor's word.
Four jobs sit after the dashboard:
Fix access and rendering. An AI engine has to reach, fetch and render a page before it can cite it. A tracker can show the absence, but someone still has to change crawler rules, indexing and templates.
Build pages around buyer questions. Comparison, service and product pages need numbers, conditions and stated limits that an engine can lift cleanly. Vague copy becomes background, while specific copy gets quoted.
Earn third-party mentions. Strategi's position is that reviews, Reddit threads, listings and press track whether a brand gets named far more closely than domain authority does. No tracker can join those conversations for you.
Connect visibility to inquiries. Discovered Labs reports that Peec AI does not estimate AI-sourced traffic, so linking visibility to visits takes separate analytics work. First-party data from Search Console and GA4 fills that gap, and every third-party tool metric stays an estimate.
Should you buy a tracker or get the work done?
Buy a tracker when you already have people who can act on what it shows. If nobody owns the fixes, a dashboard only documents the problem each month, and a done-for-you plan is the better use of the budget.
Strategi's plans run month to month with no setup fee. The $499 Starter plan includes 10 blog posts a month and tracks 50 buyer questions on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Growth and Scale add money pages, technical fixes and, on Scale, off-site work.
Strategi publishes this comparison and sells that service, so the conflict of interest is plain. The test is simple: if your buyers do not research with AI, neither a tracker nor an agency will pay back. Where they do, Peec AI suits a team with spare execution capacity, Profound suits an enterprise with analysts, and a done-for-you plan suits a team with neither.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Peec AI cheaper than Profound?
- Peec AI has the lower published entry price, but no like-for-like answer exists. Slate reports Peec AI from $95 a month, while Profound for brands is a free trial, then custom Enterprise pricing. Profound's Enterprise price is unpublished, so the true gap depends on a quote.
- Is Peec AI or Profound better for an agency?
- Peec AI suits most agencies because seats are unlimited and agency plans run from $245 to $795 a month, according to Canlah AI. Ryze reported Profound at an unpublished base price plus $399 a month per client workspace, so Profound makes sense when clients need its enterprise depth.
- Does Profound have a free trial?
- Profound does offer a free trial for brands, and Slate describes it as seven days with limited credits and 50 daily prompts. Older comparisons calling Profound demo only appear out of date, so confirm the current terms on Profound's pricing page.
- Is Profound more accurate than Peec AI?
- No published controlled test shows that Profound is more accurate than Peec AI, or the reverse. AI answers also change between runs, so a single reading from either tracker proves little. The fair check is running the same prompts through both tools during their trials and comparing how much each result moves.
- Do Profound and Peec AI write content for you?
- Profound and Peec AI both now offer some content or page-editing help, but neither replaces the team that does the work. Ryze reported in August 2026 that publishing remains the Profound customer's job on self-serve plans, and Peec AI's tooling is reported to suggest edits and draft briefs for approval.
- Does Profound or Peec AI track Hindi?
- No published source confirms Hindi or other Indian-language tracking on Profound or Peec AI. DerivateX reports 115-plus languages on Peec AI and over 40 on Profound, without listing Indian languages. An Indian team should test its own prompts during a trial and ask each vendor about rupee billing, because no rupee price is published.
